For over 25 years, on the third Wednesday of most months there is an exodus of males from the village as they go off for their lunch together.
The gatherings are held in various local pubs and consist of two courses – a main course and the all- important pudding. A pre-lunch drink is also favoured and it is then that the conversation starts to flow on a wide range of topics.
In the summer, we arrange a day out that usually involves a coach trip to an attraction followed by a lunch.
Partners and guests are always welcome for this event, as they are for our annual Christmas dinner.
There are only two real requirements for membership;
1) Able to go for lunch on an occasional Wednesday afternoon,
2) Willing to have a good chat and put the “world to rights” over a meal.
